In today’s world, filing for Social Security may seem like a standardized process.  Many people think that the day they qualify for benefits is the day they need to file.  However, you might want to think again.  The decision you make today might affect the benefits you receive over the next 10, 20, or even 30 years!

Part of our job here at McCabe & Associates is to make sure you are aware of the different options you have when it comes to filing for Social Security.  That is why our team of advisors would like to give you the opportunity to explore all your options before you file.

For those interested, we suggest you take the following steps:

  1.  Go to ssa.gov/myaccount
  2.  Access a copy of your latest Social Security statement (and your spouse’s if applicable)
  3.  Review the Earnings History to ensure accuracy
  4.  Provide statement to McCabe & Associates
  5.  Schedule a meeting to go over your different filing strategies

We look forward to hearing from you!
